TODAY'S MESSAGE
Welcome to Tampa Community Church!
Thank you so much for joining us today as we worship God together! If you are visiting with us today, please fill out the linked “Connection Card” so we can get to know you better, pray for you more specifically, minister with you more effectively, and update our information. We pray that during your time here today, you will experience an authentic encounter with God that will help you mature in your faith.
About Us
We are focused on sharing the love, hope and peace of Christ with the city of Tampa and beyond. We recognize that being a community church means we are a community of faith within these walls, but we’re called to serve the community around us. You’re invited to be part of it all!!
Elements of Our Communal Worship
The following facets of our service are planned intentionally to draw our focus toward intentional worship of God and God alone. We do this through…
Music: Throughout God’s story we see how music is a part of worshipping together. The Psalms are filled with music written for this very purpose.
Giving: If you are a guest, there is no obligation to participate, but this opportunity is available to you to give back to God as an act of worship.
Communal Prayer: This is simply a time for our church family to pray together for the various needs and burdens we share. The altar is always open, but we invite you to take the posture of prayer you desire.
Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it is central to the revelation of who God is and who He desires us to be as His people. Therefore, proper use of scripture is a central part of our worship together.
The Spoken Word: Through the message this morning we hope you hear God’s voice, not just the pastor’s. And our desire is that you will leave changed and challenged to be all that God has called you to be.
Our Response: During these moments we are called to respond to God’s word. Feel free to respond as God leads you. It may be through singing, or maybe silence. It may be through prayer! But all are encouraged to be obedient.

A Note From Pastor Richard
Happy New Year!! Even as I type that out my mind is boggled that I’m typing those words! I mean...didn’t we JUST start 2024? Gracious! And, of course, with the new year comes the New Year’s resolutions, right? New diets will begin, gyms will work to make the majority of their sales goals for the year, exercise equipment will be flying out of stores, alcohol and tobacco sales will dip...well, for about a month...if that. Why so short a time? Because the resolve one has to start, stop or continue is pretty weak when one discovers how hard it is to maintain that resolve. Exercise causes the body to ache from what you put it through. Diets take away favorite foods. Addictions are soooo hard to break. The sad thing is that we make New Year’s Resolutions about our journey with Christ and are about as successful as we are with other things. Read the Bible more, pray more, worship with my church family more, serve more, give more faithfully...all really great things to resolve to do! The problem is that they become items on the check list that fade because we do them for the wrong reasons. Our journey with Christ isn’t about doing more of those things. Our journey with Christ is about loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and loving others with the love God has shown us. If this is what we’re doing, we shouldn’t need to “resolve” to do the other things. They happen naturally because of the passion we have for loving God more! So how “natural” will they be for you in 2025?

In Christ,
PR
Items For Your Information
Property Update: We wanted to update you that after voting to accept the offer from the Cribbin family, the transaction has finalized and the funds have been transferred into our account! Just as you prayed with us regarding the future of the property, please join us in praying regarding what God’s next steps are for us moving forward.

Baptism and Membership: We have had some people express interest in being baptized and others asking for information about becoming members of the Church of the Nazarene. If you would like more information about either of these, please mark your connect card “baptism” and/or “membership”. You can also use the QR code the chairs to sign up to be baptized!

Opportunities To Serve: Do you have a place to serve in this local church? If not, get plugged in! It is impossible to have too many people serving. So, be a blessing as you receive a blessing through serving with your church family. Just mark your connect card or see PR. Some places to consider (but not an exhaustive list): Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Music Ministry, Tech Ministry, Hospitality Ministry (Café), First Impressions Team (Greeters), Kids Ministry, Youth Ministry, Connect Group Ministry, and MORE!

Take a second and check it all out! You can also get to the site via this link: www.tampacommunity.church/welcome

But you can also do it electronically through our church app or text the word “Give” to 813-590-5056. You can set up one time or recurring gifts there. Thank you for your faithful giving!!
