TODAY'S MESSAGE

A Journey Through Acts Title.jpg

Welcome to Tampa Community Church!

Thank you so much for joining us today as we worship God together!  If you are visiting with us today, please fill out the linked “Connection Card” so we can get to know you better, pray for you more specifically, minister with you more effectively, and update our information.  We pray that during your time here today, you will experience an authentic encounter with God that will help you mature in your faith.

About Us

We are focused on sharing the love, hope and peace of Jesus

with the city of Tampa and beyond.

We do this by:

Reaching up to God in worship and to one another in loving community

Connecting with God and each other through intentional discipleship

both inside and outside the walls of our facilities.

Serving others both locally and globally as the hands and feet of Jesus

Elements of Our Communal Worship

The following facets of our service are planned intentionally to draw our focus toward intentional worship of God and God alone.  We do this through…

Music: Throughout God’s story we see how music is a part of worshipping together.  The Psalms are filled with music written for this very purpose.

Giving: If you are a guest, there is no obligation to participate, but this opportunity is available to you to give back to God as an act of worship.

Communal Prayer: This is simply a time for our church family to pray together for the various needs and burdens we share.  The altar is always open, but we invite you to take the posture of prayer you desire.

Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it is central to the revelation of who God is and who He desires us to be as His people.  Therefore, proper use of scripture is a central part of our worship together.

The Spoken Word: Through the message this morning we hope you hear God’s voice, not just the pastor’s.  And our desire is that you will leave changed and challenged to be all that God has called you to be.

Our Response: During these moments we are called to respond to God’s word.  Feel free to respond as God leads you.  It may be through singing, or maybe silence.  It may be through prayer!  But all are encouraged to be obedient.

We would love the opportunity to answer any questions you may have regarding what you have experienced today. Feel free to contact Pastor Richard at any time. Thanks again for joining us today. Until later, grace and peace!

We believe in the power of prayer and want to be a praying church.  So, if you know of a name, share it on the connect card.  And if a prayer is answered, let us know and we’ll remove the name from the list.

A Note From Pastor Richard

Expectations.  We all have them whether we like to admit it or not.  And so many times we place those expectations upon the people around us...even when it’s not warranted.  And you know who we tend to place the most expectations upon?  God.  Now, hear me...I’m not saying that’s a bad thing.  I believe we should have a certain level of expectation when it comes to God, especially when it comes to God being who God says He is.  But much like the disciples in the upper room, what they experienced was far different than their expectations.  They expected another time of prayer.  They experienced way more!  Just one example of how God rarely works according to OUR expectations.  Why?  Because scripture tells us that God’s ways are higher than our ways.  And when we receive the Holy Spirit, our expectations for how the world should work get flipped upside down.  Are you ready for God to show up in ways you never expected?  Think about it.  What might change in your life if you truly expected God to work in unexpected and powerful ways?

In Christ,

PR

Items For Your Information

Remembering Blondeane: In case you missed hearing, Blondeane passed away this past week.  There will be a celebration of life here at the church this Tuesday, June 2nd.  Visitation will be from 8am-11am, service at 11a, and graveside service at Trinity Memorial Gardens at 1.  During that time, the worship space will be reset for a meal for family and friends after returning from the cemetery.  If you’d be willing to help with this, please see Pastor John.

Rev Up & Roll Out: Exciting update!  “Bikes and Balls” has been renamed due to it being bigger with more lasting impact, including media coverage for WFFCS AND TCCN!  So, please keep praying and get ready for how God is going to use us to bless these kids, families, and the Tampa community as we prepare for a full blown “fostering fair” on June 27th!

Facility Projects: Some have been asking if there are still projects people can help with around our new facilities.  YES!  Yes, there are!  If you’ve got some time and energy, we’ve got some projects.  Just let PR know when you’re available!  Thanks in advance for continuing to serve!

TCCN Membership: Have you been interested in moving from a “regular attender” to an active member of TCCN? We’d love for you to do so! Seriously, you’re already family, why not take the next step?  If interested, please see PR to begin the process!

Baptism Celebration: We’ve recently had someone share they’d like to be baptized!! Have you considered the same?  It’s the next logical step in this journey with Christ and we’d be honored to celebrate that step with you.  If interested, either see PR or fill out the form available on our mobile site accessed through the tap card on the chairs.

1:14 Prayer Time: Huge thank you to everyone who has been so faithful to taking time each day at (or around) 1:14 in the afternoon to pray together those five prayers throughout the season of Lent.  God is already answering them!  So, why stop?!  Let’s keep going! God will continue to hear and answer them as we journey with Him! So, if you need a reminder of the 5 prayers, you can get a card at the welcome desk.  Thanks for joining us in becoming a praying church!

Opportunities To Serve: There are multiple places you can be part of a serve team here at TCCN!  Take a look at our mobile site to see what they are.  Thanks in advance for “Being God’s Servants”!  See PR if you have any questions!

Giving Opportunities: We’re so thankful so many are so faithful in worshipping through giving!  But did you know there are multiple ways you can give your tithes and offerings?  You can do it while here in person in a plate or a giving box, electronically through our church app or text the word “Give” to 813-590-5056.  You can even set up one time or recurring gifts there!  See PR if you need assistance with electronic giving.

Looking Ahead:   June 6-9 - Kids Camp

June 27 - Bikes and Balls Fostering Fair

July 1-5 - Nazarene Youth Conference in Salt Lake City

                              August 2-6 - Teen Camp
