TODAY'S MESSAGE

Welcome to Tampa Community Church!
Thank you so much for joining us today as we worship God together! If you are visiting with us today, please fill out the linked “Connection Card” so we can get to know you better, pray for you more specifically, minister with you more effectively, and update our information. We pray that during your time here today, you will experience an authentic encounter with God that will help you mature in your faith.
About Us
We are focused on sharing the love, hope and peace of Christ with the city of Tampa and beyond. We recognize that being a community church means we are a community of faith within these walls, but we’re called to serve the community around us. You’re invited to be part of it all!!
Elements of Our Communal Worship
The following facets of our service are planned intentionally to draw our focus toward intentional worship of God and God alone. We do this through…
Music: Throughout God’s story we see how music is a part of worshipping together. The Psalms are filled with music written for this very purpose.
Giving: If you are a guest, there is no obligation to participate, but this opportunity is available to you to give back to God as an act of worship.
Communal Prayer: This is simply a time for our church family to pray together for the various needs and burdens we share. The altar is always open, but we invite you to take the posture of prayer you desire.
Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it is central to the revelation of who God is and who He desires us to be as His people. Therefore, proper use of scripture is a central part of our worship together.
The Spoken Word: Through the message this morning we hope you hear God’s voice, not just the pastor’s. And our desire is that you will leave changed and challenged to be all that God has called you to be.
Our Response: During these moments we are called to respond to God’s word. Feel free to respond as God leads you. It may be through singing, or maybe silence. It may be through prayer! But all are encouraged to be obedient.

A Note From Pastor Richard
When I’m working out, doing work outside, or playing sports, I sweat. And when I say I sweat, I mean I sweat a LOT! It’s worse when whatever I’m doing is outside, especially in Florida...in the heat of the summer. But it doesn’t really bother me. If it means I’m not cold, I’ll put up with sweat with no complaining whatsoever. But when I sweat like that, I have to pay close attention to something...dehydration. I literally have to listen closely to what my body is telling me or I can be in trouble quickly. And what is my body telling me? Drink your water, dummy! I mean, the human body is made up of about 60% water, which makes replenishing the water we sweat out essential to our health. Is it any wonder that in John’s gospel, we hear Jesus saying, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.” Last week we talked about how busy we get. We go and go and go and go, sadly without stopping to replenish the life-giving spiritual water that Jesus offers us. Our souls are telling us what we need on this journey, especially when we get spiritually dehydrated...more of Jesus. But I wonder...are we listening?
